From emissions mapping to ESG software: an end-to-end approach
The journey started with a thorough analysis of Fluvius’ scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Both primary and secondary data sources were identified, structured, and optimized to create a reliable and actionable dataset. This solid foundation paved the way for the next step: guiding Fluvius in selecting the right ESG software solution. With this, their data management capabilities were immediately scaled up with a clear focus on upcoming CSRD requirements.
Collaborating on every level: from operations to strategy
A key strength of this project was the close collaboration with Fluvius’ internal CSRD team. EpicHorizons acted as a central connector across departments, supporting operational ESG initiatives while also engaging directly with C-level leadership on climate and ESG strategy. Special attention was given to the financial and legal teams to ensure the entire reporting process is audit-proof and future-ready.
Climate reporting and a roadmap to 2030
EpicHorizons took the lead in calculating, drafting, and finalizing Fluvius’ climate report for both 2023 and 2024 while also laying the groundwork for seamless follow-up reporting in 2025 and 2026.
In parallel, a solid data governance structure was implemented. This ensures consistent data collection, clear ownership, and smooth follow-up processes. It’s a vital foundation for growing ESG data maturity.
A sustainable plan built on international standards
Together with Fluvius, a strategic climate and carbon reduction plan was developed, aligned with IPCC guidelines. We also created a concrete action plan to enhance the quality and availability of data leading up to 2030. The result? Fluvius is not only compliant but also fully prepared to realize its long-term climate goals.
